Cedar Creek's Estate Vineyards are located on the border of Amador and El Dorado counties in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California.
Five varieties of wine grapes are planted in single vineyard sections to Viognier, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sangiovese.
Farmer & winemaker Karen J. Wood has an intimate knowledge of her vineyards, respecting the seasonal impact on the fruit & producing wines which reflect the genuine “terroir” of each vintage.
Karen believes the cool Sierra nights, long, steady growing season, and daily “Delta Breeze” impart a balanced acidity, aromatic intensity and a mid-palate richness to Sierra Foothills wines, making them very true to varietal character.
Cedar Creek's wines are always in the medals, with several local and national awards and strong local following.
