Welcome to Cedar Creek Ranch & Vineyards!

Cedar Creek Ranch is an 80 acre property developed by Karen J. Wood to fulfill a lifelong dream of living a farming and ranching lifestyle.

The ranch property was purchased in 1997 and was once part of the lucrative Umatilla Gold Mine along the Wells Fargo "Cedar Creek Trail" during the California Gold Rush.
Today the ranch property lies within the prestigious Fair Play American Viticulture Area bordering Amador & El Dorado counties in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California.

Soon realizing the new "gold" in the hills was wine, Karen planted single vineyards producing Viognier, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese & Cabernet Sauvignon beginning in 1998.

Cedar Creek's vineyards have become well-known locally and nationally for producing elegant, aromatic wines with aging ability, balance and focus, true to varietal character. Karen's farming
and winemaking practices express the natural habitat of the ranch & terroir of the climate & minerally soils along the "Cedar Creek Trail."
